The Ellen Van Cantfort Walking Trails A stroll through the walking trails will give you a picture of the flora and fauna characteristic of the 227 acres of the Simpsonwood forest. The trails are named after the late Ellen Van Cantfort who served as Director of Volunteers from 1985 until her death in 1996. This was one of many ways she inspired those who knew her. Ellen devoted her life in service to others through the church's Ministries to Older Adults, Singles, I.N.S.A., Prayer, Bridal, Stephens, Flower, Bread, Urban, and Care for Cancer. She served with Community Walk for Wesley Community Centers and Elderhostels. The trails were dedicated to her on June 14, 1992, while she was still active and alive.
