Activities & Attractions

All facilities on our attractive campus are within easy walking distance of each other. Enjoy quiet walks within 3 miles of trails through out the woods along the Chattahoochee River or take advantage of our outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts, athletic field, and the facilities of the nearby Robert D. Fowler Family YMCA.

Outdoor Pool: Come enjoy our seasonal outdoor pool open to all overnight guests from 7:30 a.m. to dusk. The pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. No life guard is on duty; swim at your own risk. All children MUST be accompanied by an adult 21 years old or older.

Athletic Field: Our oversized athletic field offers the ideal location for picnics, football games, Frisbee, and more! Please contact reservations in order to book the field for your event.

Picnic Area: A covered pavilion with 8 tables seating 6 people at each table, the outdoor pavilion is lighted and has electricity. Charcoal grills only are allowed and must be provided by the guest.

Campground: Simpsonwood has a lovely campground with 10 RV sites, complete with electrical and water hookups and dumping station. The lighted Picnic Pavilion at the campground has 8 picnic tables, seating 6 people each. There are three electrical outlets and a water spigot. Please use charcoal grills only, (not furnished by Simpsonwood). Reservations are required. Camping guests must be 21 years or older. Children are to be accompanied by adults.

Prayer Labryinth: The Prayer Path is located in a wooded setting between the Brooks Complex and the Gibson Lodge. The path leads the way to a prayer labyrinth built to enhance the spiritual life of our guests and friends. The labyrinth is available for use by guests of The Lodge at Simpsonwood.
